Step-by-Step Quilt Block Sweatshirt Tutorial

If youโre making a new block, choose your pattern and colors. I arranged the log cabin layout to achieve the look I wanted.

Iron your block to remove wrinkles. Then, press a ยผโ fold on all four sides to create a clean finished edge.

Lay your sweatshirt flat and iron it if needed. Position your quilt block where you want it, then pin it in place.

Sew along the outer edges of the quilt block on all four sides. Be careful to sew through only one layer of the sweatshirt!
Itโs quilting time! Lay out the sweatshirt and choose the desired quilting pattern. Choose a quilting pattern to secure the block. I used stitch-in-the-ditch to highlight the log cabinโs geometric design. Straight-line quilting patterns add a great modern touch!

Try on your new quilt block sweatshirt and show off your quilting skills in style!
