The Underlined Baby Quilt Pattern
The Underlined quilt is the definition of a stripey baby quilt. It is roughly inspired by a graphic design we did in the studio a while back, but as always, it took its own turn when I started translating it into quilt design. And I love that!
A Jelly Roll Friendly Quilt Pattern
I know how much everyone loves a quick make, so I decided to write this to be jelly roll friendly. And it is – suuuuper jelly roll friendly. In fact, you can pretty much make the entire quilt top only using jelly roll strips. Of course, we’ve also included yardage calculations, so the choice is yours. Jelly roll strips, yardage, both? You can go any way!
In the version you see in the pictures here, I used some yardage I had from previous projects and I think it works great. I went with blues as I made this for a baby boy, but the design is so universal it will look great in pretty much any colorway you can come up with.
A Beginner Friendly Quilt Pattern
I would say this is definitely a beginner-friendly pattern, as there aren’t really any complicated piecing techniques involved. The trickiest part is probably sewing together the long strips of fabric, which is not hard in itself, but if you’re not careful it can produce some bowing in your rows. But don’t worry, we’ve included some great tips to help you keep those rows perfectly straight!
